DiSTI® to use GL Studio to build F15K IOS panels for Boeing
November 2004 - Orlando, FL - DiSTI was selected by the Boeing Integrated Defense Systems, St. Louis, Mo. to develop the cockpit repeater panel interface for the Instructor Operator Station (IOS) for the F-15K Training Device. DiSTI will use GL Studio to create a high quality, photorealistic interface. The new graphics are built from photographs of the F-15K cockpit and are remotely updated through a network connection to the F-15K simulator. Also, the instructor now has the flexibility of reconfiguring the layout of the graphics to suit specific training needs. Each instrument can be independently activated or deactivated and scaled to any particular size for easier viewing. The instructor can also save and restore the layout of the instruments to simplify student monitoring for frequently occurring training tasks, such as emergency procedures and weapon system training.
DiSTI will photograph, create and deliver the 27 panels necessary for this two-seater cockpit in under 90 days.
